Jerry
I heard a song this morning,
soothing like a friend,
Felt the tears start welling,
but dried them on the wind.
Remembering all the hopefulness,
then recalled the cheers,
The silver lining glowing bright
through coming vanished years.
The looks upon our faces,
the stickers on our rides,
The words of grace and humor,
the toasts made to the tides,
The family hugs of strangers,
and one ole Stella Blue,
The greatest story ever rolled:
"Jer' this bud's for you."
