What is Wizardry
By Greycloak

After many questions on What is Wizardry, I held a Class.
I created a FAQ as a direct result of the class. And this is it. :)

AS my path is dynamic and change as I learn more or
discovers areas where I am wrong, So answer may not apply anymore.
Depending when you read this Html.
This File was modified from the class logs

Many of you heard that I am not wiccian. But wizard.
for some of you that bring visions of Lighting Bolts flying
from finger tips. For other it bring confusion.

First the Basic discription.

Wizardry: A system of Magick the embraces religion.

This is not the same as a Religion that embraces magick.
Although at first glance this looks the same.

The differance is what comes first. Wicca, it is the lifestyle and
magickal second.
Magick is used to enrich the religion and lifestyle

Where as wizardry is comprised of many magickal system that includes
religion as a personal choice

Before I begin the Main Lecture? whats the historical roots? Since this a self composed path, it has no real long roots.
Except in that the parts are older then the path. In another words
It is compose of new and old. But it is still new.

I have read that simon the mage was sortof start of a continuing
tradition, your thoughts?

I expanded on it by excepting knowledge from other paths and religions.
I not sure who was Simon.

Any more questions?

Ok, The next file I will play is a intro of differentances
things involved
This text will give you more info on the basic of wizardry.
First of all wizardry is composed of many forms of magickal.
This is because that it is the study of magick.

The wizard will have personal bases of magickal systems, ranging
from one to many.

Why does Wizardry embraces religion if it a magic system.
The Gods & Goddesses are Creatures of pure magickal
energy, Short of pure life force without the matter and body.
They are the ultimate wizards.

Can you shoot lighting bolts?
Not on this plane at this time. On other planes yes. (such as
the dream plane)

Are they other forms of Wizardry?
Yes, as there are system of magickal, There are classes of wizardry.
I've seen where upper levels of shaman (some paths) call themselves
wizards.

What about the three fold law?
Wizardry has a form of threefold. It where a negative use of magick
rebound three fold when failed. More on this point. Later.

What other laws that wizards have?
Wizardry have three rules. I call laws.

    1: Seek knowledge
For with knowledge you are armed.

    2: Share Knowledge
For with sharing you reinforces the learning

    3: TO aid
For with aiding other you gain friends.

Does wizradry change, and is it different for each person?
Yes, wizardry is different for everyone it is a very Dynamic system.

As the practicer grows with knowledge and beliefs. His wizardy also
changes.

The other day the subject of overpowering other came up.
Wizardry is not over powering anyone. It not a stronger or
better magick system.

Now for your Questions
About the three fold law... can you elaborate more?
When ever a spell or rite end or is broken, The energy
will return. It will rebound upon it self, with the orginal
energies and what ever boulit up. and the Client energy.

where did wizardry begin? who was its "founder"?
I am sorta of, I was hoping that I find others with the same theories.
To coompare note

so if the spell works there's no consequence to the caster??
A spell will always end, BE it now, when broken or when the person dies.
So you always get a 3-fold return, good or bad?
Yes

The 3 fold law is just the law of cause and effect....what you do has an
effect, whether its a negative or postive act.
(SpiderWlf)
Basically this is true.

So, how does this differ from Wicca or ceremonial magick?
Well, As i Understood the Law of three fold in Wicca, it
appled to evryday life, in Wizardry it applies to magick works only

So you are not bound by laws other than the 3 Laws of
Wizardry in everyday life?
how about Karma?? which is another rule about cause and
effect?
karma, is effect by moral choices.
So when you used dieties, do you use any in particular or
just in general
as in "god" "goddess" "universal all" etc.?
Depend on the situation, We need to know the diety name.
To ask for help.
what about holidays or Sabats? are their any certian days that
are special, like full moons? it is it just whenever you need to do some
working
The holidays, This falls toward the religious part. I tend to follow
Some Wiccain hollydays and Some Christians Hollydays. But this is a person
Choice.

what about the paranormal and psychic abilities?
These are a part of all magick. Every one is born with abilities.

so at the base of things ya do acknowledge the "what ya put out ya get back"?? interesting I thought that didnt count in wizardry Why do the effert when it zero result. This question actually threw me
as I was not trying to bring out this point.

That magick is the art and science of causing change in comformity with Will. I disagree, It the ART of causing change with will. As they are so many
systems of Magick that in itself will make it an Art. By stating that it
is science. You stating that there only one way to do things.

what if im doing a working for years and years.....does it have no affect on me til i actually finish it?
Reading this question, and thinking on it. You will feel the effect of the
work and store energies. As the purpose of a long working is to build up
the energy involve. Now, what I reading into this is that a spell that
working for a single result. Not a spell with a series of minor results
building to a whole. Then in this instance, Of course you will feel the
results while you working.

Much of this Log was cut. and edited. The answers where expanded upon.
